Creating a Glamorous Base for Summer Makeup Looks
As the weather heats up and the sun starts to shine, there’s no better reason for beauty lovers to put on a glam look (we know, most of us will find *any* reason!). The easiest way to create a makeup look that suits your unique personality and occasion is to start with a flawless, natural looking base. Here are our favorite tips for achieving various levels of coverage.
Light / Sheer Coverage
This type of coverage is ideal for daytime looks, or any occasion when you want your natural skin to highlight the look.
We love mixing a few drops of our liquid foundation together with our Replenishing Day Lotion. If you need to spot conceal, you can use a small brush to precisely apply small dots of concealer on your skin.
Medium to Full Coverage
A versatile level of coverage that can easily go from day to night depending on the makeup you choose for your lips and eyes! There are two ways you can easily accomplish a medium coverage look:
Method 1 (Powdered Foundation)
First apply moisturizer and then immediately follow with your powder foundation using a sponge to blend the color across your face. Using a buildable formula like the TrūAura powdered foundation makes it easy to achieve even coverage in the areas that you want.
Method 2 (Liquid Foundation)
On freshly prepped skin, use a damp sponge with foundation to apply product on your face. If you want to ensure longevity, you can use a light dusting of the Powder Foundation to set your makeup.

If you’ve used powder foundation or powder to set your face, using a couple spritzes of mist will help meld the look together seamlessly for a more professional and flawless look.
